with the brave hearts !!!

I always have respect for the scots man from the time since I saw brave heart, William Wallace impressed me a lot, who would not have been?

It was Easter holidays and I was planning for a trip to swiz, but due to last minute issues decided against, and decided to go to Scotland .. I started of to Scotland on 20th march 2008 night, 11PM from london. Reached Edinburgh at 8 AM the next day. I was received by my friend Anup.

Day 1:
Our plan was to start at around 8 AM to the highlands. But as always there was a big delay. We planned to rent a car and drive to the highlands, but due to some issues in renting the car we left only at 12 in the afternoon. We where totally ten in two cars. We went through Stirling (where the unforgettable battle was won by Wallace). We where driving towards, Fort William. That was one of my best drives ever; I has not seen a beautiful place then that in my life. I was really dump stuck. We stopped by so many places, none where tourist sports, but they where so beautiful that u cant stop feeling exited. The roads where not broad, just two lanes, and it was drizzling and snowing continuously. That was the first time I ever saw snow, then you can imagine how exited I would have been. The scenic was so gud. I started loving Scot more then before. As we went past mountains after another, the thought about William Wallace kept running into my minds, the scenes of how he would have roamed around the mountains kept rolling in my minds. We stayed in a small hotel (B & B).

Day 2: Started of great, i had solid breakfast. It was a perfect English breakfast with Bacon, Sausage, Juice, breads, black porridge, etc :)
We went to Ben Nevis, I believe its the highest peak of the highlands. We had taken a Skiing package which includes some skiing classes, board, boats, sticks and one day pass in the Nevis mountains. With the skier's boots, it was as if I was walking on moon. The boots are so heavy that you will hardly manage to walk. And the boards, its as long as your height. I was so happy to be on a snow covered mountain. With the skiing boots and the board i should confess that I was looking like a really clown. I got into my skiing boards, and started moving, i was doing so well at the first shot, i was moving swiftly and gud, i was so happy, wait a minute, did I forget something? how do i stop moving??? iooo?? i was moving on a small slope, and i did not know how to put on the breaks .. the started doing all sort of things to stop the skates, my friends came running to my rescue, but no use, i dragged them along with me down rolling, when finally i myself go to the grounds to stop. We went to the skiing class, learned some basics, first how to stop of course. It was really great. the day went of too fast. I was wishing that I would get another chance to ski. I enjoyed it a lot.
We went to a hotel and rested for the day.

Day 3: Again, english breakfast, and another feast. I don’t feel shy to eat different things. :)
We went for a cruise in the black waters, it was really great. the waters where really black. And then we started our way back to edinburgh via Perth, the route was covered with snow on either sides, it was so gud to see a white land. We did not go to many places, but i really enjoyed. The highlands was indeed a very beautiful place.
I returned back to london, I realized the need to travel, the world is so much beautiful. I would look to see more places, and have more adventures.
